Non Official Bio

Before we get to the ‘official bio’ there’s a few things I’d like to share. I realise as I get older how much of a non-conformist I am!

I test norms, boundaries and life. Not in an activist way, more of a prodding around life’s edges to see what might be there just beyond view.

I love humanity, creativity, social inclusion, participation and contribution.

I get obsessed with understanding why we think, feel and act the way we do. Ultimately my work is about improving the art of relationships. Both the relationship with ourselves and the interplay between our self, others and systems.

Workplaces, families, communities, society progresses when we as an individual can take care of our self. The focus on self benefits all emotionally, politically, societally and economically.

How we view ourselves, treat ourselves and ‘be’ with ourselves not only dictates the quality of our life but the quality of our relationships. When we are highly functioning and liberated, we progress. Progress ourselves, our projects (personal-professional) and ultimately humanity.

Our impressive technical future indicates that the human race will need to increase social intelligence, critical reasoning, creativity, and empathy.

So, that’s a bit about me. Deep thinker, deep feeler and there’s not much small talk, but a LOT of laughing (and a bit of crying too) ;)

Official Bio

“Suzanne Waldron was born in England, and lives in Sydney, Australia. She is fascinated with humanity and how we relate to ourselves and one another. Born deaf, she had multiple operations to restore her hearing. She lived in a truck travelling Europe before becoming a foster child, then homeless teenager. She experienced a tough upbringing. This led her to dig deeply into life’s array of emotions and how we can each utilise all that living has to offer. Her first book A Flourishing Mind takes the reader through her life experiences and learnings via harsh realities, to a place of deep hope.

Today, she is a behaviouralist having studied a Master’s Degree in Coaching and Neuro-Linguistics. Her research focussed on pro-social leadership and the psychological aspects of inner fulfillment through moving significant ideas (beyond self) into action. She studies philosophy and economics to widen her knowledge on meaning and the systems we live in and finds solace in painting as a creative outlet.

Believing that honest, hopeful and truthful relationships are the bedrock of fulfilment and progress, Suzanne works with individuals, organisations and influencers to build cohesive relationships in community, government and not for profits. She works globally combining her skills as a behavioural change facilitator, artist, writer and speaker. 

Suzanne is a creative director for the Museum of Freedom of Tolerance and former curator for TEDxPerth. She is an active ambassador for R U OK? and Nakuru Hope. She was nominated for Western Australian of the Year 2016 for her work in the community.“
